Fourtree Gathering

I looked down on all the cats, just as the other leader's did. My muscles rippled. "You can start first Flamestar." I said with a deep growl. I looked at her, eyes filled with hatred.

I observerd how Shadestar looked at Flamestar. Was that the was leaders always looked at each other? I watched closely to see what would happen. My mother warned me though, not to get into a fight, because Starcaln was always watching. So I sat down quietly, and watched.

I looked at Swiftstar and laughed very quietly when he told me something quite funny, the only thing the other cats could see were smiles on our faces. There had been something, that had be me unlike all the leaders exept Swiftstar. I think the reason was, that he was my brother. We had never told any cats that we were brothers, it was our secret. Thornstar, glared at the both of us with a stern look in his eyes. I growled at him then sat stait forward, for it was my turn to speak. "Birchclan is doing well, my hunting patrols have caught scents of Oakclan warriors in my terriroty. There is also a fox living in a den near twolegplace. We lost a kit when a hawk flew into camp. Other than that, prey is plentiful." I finished with my voice strong, I intimadated Flamestar at every gathering, one time I thought she was going to blow up!

"What in Starclan's name is going on up there?" Mosspaw thought, staring at the leaders changing moods. Mosspaw looked around the clearing full of cats. No one else seemed to think the same. "Is this normal?" Mosspaw asked herself. She shook her pelt andkept looking up at them.

After Swiftstar had finished I leaped down from the leader's rock knowing that the gathering was over. I gave Flamestar another hostile look, said good bye too Swiftstar, while Thornstar gave me a look o hatred, then called for my clan. "It's time too go back now." I growled. I leaped high up too the entrance. Then leaped into the forest.

((haha look 'o' hatred. ))

Mosspaw looked at Shadestar, puzzled. If that was a gathering - cold looks and news about prey - that was the most boring part of being a warrior, thought Mosspaw while trotting up the ridge, on the way back to camp.

I looked behing my shoulder with a quick glance at my clan the strode swiftly and soundlessly too the camp. When we reached the gourse tunnel I slipped through and quickly padded too my den without even looking behind me at my clan. I found a rabbit on my bed, wich was padded with new moss. I picked up the rabbit and ate it quickly, then curled up in the bed tightly.----------------------------

I new somthing was wrong when I had my dream. It was obvoiusly an omen, and I couldn't deny it. It was horrible, I could see an attack and blood. I had too wake up and stride over too Eagleclaw's den. I waited for her too notice for the longest time beofore turning away. I sprinted out of camp without making any sound. I sat on the boulders that soaked up sun, finally I curled up on one of the flat ones and sllept for a while. I stretched as I saw light, the break of dawn. I walked back too camp with a rabbit in my jaws. No one was up yet, so I picked out a shrew from the fresh kill pile and ate it before I went on a quick border check. When I returned I would have expected too see more cats awake, but I knew one cat would be awake.

A silvery light sifted into the apprentice's den through little holes in the den rooftop. Mosspaw woke, looking around. It was a chilly morning and for some reason she was disturbed and couldn't sleep. "Gotta patch up those holes one day." Mosspaw muttered to herself after a good streatch. She shook her pelt and silently crept out of the den into the clearing. A gold light splashed into the glearing. No one was awake yet, so she picked out a shrew from last night and ate it quickly. Maybe she could slip away with an extra piece of prey. But Mosspelt shook her head. She knew it was wrong. She padded through the gorse tunnel to bury the remains. Aw she walked through the gorse tunnel again, she snagged her pelt o na branch. She hadn't given herself a good wash in a while, so her fur was long and tangly and loose fur dripped off of her everywhere. She bit at the mess of a tangle attaching her to the tunnel. She hoped no one found her befor eshe freed herself. She might have died of embarrasment. Mosspelt began to get frustrated. She had her ears flat on her head and her orangy-brown tabby pelt was sticking in all directions.
